Raw Food

 

The key words in a raw food diet are; healing, fresh, alkalising and anti-candida. The aim is to use the foods that you eat to provide the healing.

This is pure, fresh, vibrant, enzyme-rich, oxygen-rich, unadulterated, whole organic living nutrition.
Raw food includes many sprouted foods that provide in this form everything that helps the seed to grow in the first place – life force, enzymes, water, oxygen, hormones, vitamins and minerals and so much more besides.

A raw foods diet consists of unprocessed raw vegan foods that have not been heated above 115 degrees Fahrenheit (46 degrees Celsius). “Raw foodists” believe that foods cooked above this temperature have lost their enzymes and thus a significant amount of their nutritional value and are harmful to the body, whereas uncooked foods provide living enzymes and proper nutrition.

Included in a raw food diet are:

Fresh fruit and dried fruit; Vegetables of all manner and form; such as Salads, Leafy greens, Herbs and wild greens; Nuts; Beans, pulses and legumes (sprouted); Grains (sprouted); Seeds; Sprouting seeds; Indoor greens; Vegetable seeds (sprouted); Edible flowers; Mushrooms; Sea vegetables; Algaes; Oils; Stimulants (e.g. chilli, ginger, onion); Spices; Superfoods; Flavourings and natural sweeteners (e.g. agave nectar, stevia).

Each cell of the body is like a tiny battery, and raw and living foods supply the bio-electricity which charges these batteries. The bio-electrical energy of the raw food can be seen in Kirlian photographs. This photographic process shows electrical discharges that naturally emanate from all living things as luminescent, aura-like flares surrounding the subject. The glow is bright and radiant in raw foods, yet much weaker in cooked foods.

 

Cooked foods are lacking elements for optimal functioning; including enzymes, oxygen, hormones, photochemicals, bio-electrical energy, and life-force. When foods are heated above 105 F they begin to lose all of these. By 118 F, most food is “dead”. Vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates, fats and proteins are delivered to the digestive tract in a greatly altered state causing the intestinal tract and organs to produce a surge of white blood cells (leukocytosis) creating a defensive inflammation in the gut and intestinal tract, blood stream, and vital cleansing organs.

There is certainly a real place for raw foods in many instances in out diets today where we have largely over eaten the wrong foodstuffs.  However great care should be taken, too much of anything can take you out of balance and too much ‘cold’ food can undermine digestion and bring on ‘cold conditions’.  People with ‘cold’ symptoms may do much better to make use of warming foods or should at least ensure that raw foods are brought close to body temperature.
